The market rallied big yesterday!

WSJ Headline; WSJ.com
If you benefited from that, congrats to you!!
And if it didn’t matter for you because you’re day trading stocks that move independently of the broad market, great for you too!!
As I keep saying, that’s why we love day trades and penny stocks. The market could be up, down, or sideways, and we’ll always have winners.
In fact, some members of my Pre-Market Prep audience yesterday asked if I hedge my long-term portfolio…
And I said, “Yes.”
Traditionally, that means derivatives, inverse ETFs, commodities, etc.
But that’s not what I use. Day trading is my hedge. It works!
As far as day trading goes, there are several approaches you can take…
“The Aggression Progression” is a topic that also comes up a lot during my Pre-Market Prep.
Let’s talk about how you can adapt this system to your experience and risk tolerance.
>>What’s Your Level in the Aggression Progression?<<
Not all trading hours are created equal.
You can’t trade 9:30 like it’s 1:30, and you shouldn’t be hitting that premarket scanner with the same mindset you’d have in the afternoon.
That’s where the Aggression Progression comes in, a system I teach that lets you move through the day with intention, using the right strategy at the right time.
It’s all about energy, focus, and risk management.

What Is the Aggression Progression?
This is a framework that starts aggressive and scales back throughout the day.
You’re coming out swinging in the premarket when volatility is highest, liquidity is thinner, and the biggest potential moves can happen…
But remember, this is also the riskiest time of day for trading.
Then, as the market opens and the day unfolds, you step down the risk ladder — favoring cleaner setups, clearer confirmation, and tighter rules.
Here’s how it works, using the typical high-probability patterns we look for every day…
Premarket Buy and Sell
Aggression Level: 5
This is as aggressive as it gets.
You’ll hear me say, “Buy in Pre, Sell in Pre.”
You’re buying before the regular market even opens and looking for that quick pop into premarket resistance.
These are momentum trades on hot news, sometimes chat pumps, often low-float runners. You’re looking for volume surges and rapid rips upward.
You’ve gotta be fast and nimble. These can go against you hard and fast.
Buying and selling premarket is for experienced traders who’ve practiced their strategies and know what they’re doing.
Red Candle Theory (RCT)
Aggression Level: 4
This is still aggressive because it happens in premarket, but now you’ve got some data.
I’ve talked about iCore Connect Inc. (NASDAQ:) ICCT a bunch of times recently, (because it keeps on running!), but it displayed such a textbook RCT pattern last week that I have to show it again.
The chart below shows how the RCT forced us to wait until we had confirmation the stock would continue its climb. It gained around 240%!
You’re still early in the day — still high energy — but now you have more information to work with.
Oracle Signal
Aggression Level: 3
Oracle takes a lot of the “scary” out of morning trading, so a rating of “3” might even be too high.
However, these trades can be made right at the market open when things are chaotic…
And of course, no setup has a 100% probability of success, so a “3” it is.
The great thing about Oracle is that it does most of the work in finding what to trade and when to trade it.
And even better from a risk standpoint, if the stock never hits its entry signal, you can ignore the trade and move on. No harm, no foul.
I use Oracle every single day and I swear I couldn’t trade without it.
To see for yourself how Oracle works, tune in to one of our free live webinars. They run all day, five days a week.

The 9:45 AM Rule
Aggression Level: 2
Using this trade window forces you to be patient and avoid chasing runners. I constantly recommend it for new traders.
You wait until after 9:45 AM (roughly 9:40 to 10 AM) to let the early chaos shake out.
Patterns start forming, fakeouts reveal themselves, and trends become more defined.
This is where you can get cleaner entries, especially on breakouts, because the weak hands have already been flushed.
VWAP Hold
Aggression Level: 1
This trade uses Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP), my favorite indicator, which is also very popular in the trading arena. Why?
It’s amazingly simple to understand and easy to use to spot high-quality setups.
By now, the day has matured. You’ve seen the action…the fakes, the fades, the runners that kept going.
Now you’re looking for the stocks that consolidate around VWAP after the midday grind.
And if the price rises above VWAP, you know buyers are in control, and the stock will probably continue to move up.
Below VWAP? That’s a sign of selling pressure and it’s best to avoid the trade.
This is the least aggressive trade in the Aggression Progression, and for good reason.
You’re getting strong, clear price confirmation and avoiding the madness of pre-market and the market open.
It’s a great way to close out the day with control.
To find the VWAP afternoon trade pattern, you need a platform like StocksToTrade, which offers real-time data charting, technical indicators, and more.

My Final Thoughts…
Why does the Aggression Progression work?
Because it requires discipline to take precedence over emotion.
Many traders burn out by noon. They blow up in premarket or chase junk at the open, then spend the rest of the day trying to make back what they lost…
I hope you know by now, that leads to disaster.
The Aggression Progression gives you a structure. It helps you:
- Match your strategy to your risk tolerance.
- Manage your mental energy and focus.
- Know when to be aggressive…and when to back off.
And if you’re serious about trading longevity — not just one big win but consistent growth — you need a system like this.
Have a great day, everyone. See you back here tomorrow.

P.S.
The markets have created a lot of unease…
Many stocks have suffered pullbacks, including AI stocks. And if you’re worried about what’s already happened to that sector, brace yourself for more.
That’s why I urge you to join my colleague and me for a FREE emergency AI briefing this Thursday, April 10th, at 3 p.m. ET.
This person has made his career out of nailing urgent forecasts, and his next one concerns AI. He thinks this could be his most important call yet.
This briefing will be his final warning for AI stocks before April 17th…
He says an event scheduled around a federal law on April 17th will drive AI to a breaking point.
My colleague will explain what’s coming on the 17th and how his trading blueprint finds “hidden AI trades” that most people don’t see…
He’ll also share his FREE trade idea that could double in 2025.
Please don’t miss this, especially if you trade AI stocks.
