I am a snowflake.
A bad-ass, truck-driving, hunting and fishing snowflake…but still a snowflake.
Every snowflake is unique. No two of them are alike.
But that doesn’t mean two snowflakes don’t have a ton in common.
For instance, both are cold as ice…paradise (shout out to my Foreigner fans).
I know you’re all wondering if I’m sniffing glue right now.
But trust me, there’s a point here.
When I teach folks how to trade, I provide them with the framework that gives us common ground.
To become truly successful and generate REAL long-term profits, everyone has to make these strategies their own…in a sense, their trading snowflakes.
Don’t Copy and Paste
One of the first things Tim Sykes tells his students is to NEVER try and copy his trades.
I couldn’t agree more.
I’m in love with the StocksToTrade Platform, and especially the Breaking News Chat.
It sounds ridiculous, but I have yet to see anyone make consistent gains following trade signals.
Instead, create trading plans that define your watchlist, signals, and setups.
This is precisely why I created StocksToTrade Advisory.
Every morning, I don’t say ‘buy this’ or ‘sell that.’
I guide folks through my thought process, explaining the news surrounding the stock, its recent trading history, and any other relevant context. This becomes the trading plan.
Write Your Own Story
So, where then exactly does the baby bird fly from the nest?
That answer is different for everyone.
But I can tell you HOW to figure it out.
One of the greatest tools a trader has doesn’t come from a chart.
It’s pen and paper (or in many cases an excel file).
Everyone needs a trading journal.
Nothing else will provide you with unbiased, honest feedback, highlighting your weaknesses and strengths.
Let me give you an example.
For those who join me in the morning, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that my strategies center on exploiting short squeezes.
You might find more success trading pharma plays than any other sector.
Or maybe there is a certain type of candlestick you like to see before entering a trade.
Whatever it is, use it if it works for you.
My goal isn’t to create a bunch of mini-Tims out there.
I want every person who joins my webinars to become a successful trader in their own right…so they can point to their success and say I DID THAT!
