It was one of those days…
As a teacher, my goal is to share knowledge and experience that can help you be successful.

Now, I truly believe that anyone can learn to do this.
But sometimes I wonder if I’m getting through.
So, let’s take a look at 2 ways to increase your odds of success. (Then you can answer the questions.)

The Big Picture
I have two brief stories for you. Both happened earlier this week in the Daily Income Trader (DIT) chat room.
Now, I’m not gonna divulge names because these guys are brand new. We all have to start somewhere, okay? There’s nothing wrong with being new.
But there is something wrong with avoiding effort and making excuses.
If you’re serious about learning to trade, this will be very instructive…
Start at the Beginning
On Tuesday (Oct. 20), a new guy posted this in DIT chat: “how do i start?”
That’s a fair question, right?
Within 5 minutes our admin, Caleb, replied:
Folks… Here are the steps if you’re new:
- Schedule your Onboarding Call (They will walk you through EVERY step – that’s why we invented it)
- Study the assignments
- Practice slowly and learn the ins and outs of trading before risking ONE dollar
Caleb also linked to the assignments for new members to complete.
Two minutes later, the same person posted again: “how do i start”
Again, Caleb answered. He directed the new member to read the email he’d received when he joined. He directed him to follow the instructions above. He even posted our support email and phone number.
31 minutes later, the SAME person posted this: “how do I start daily income trader?”
Again, it’s okay to be new. But if you refuse to follow simple instructions, how will you ever succeed at anything?
The lesson is…
Be Teachable
Which leads me to the second story.
Came a question during a webinar on the same day…
“If you buy above the signal with [a] big gap between [the] stop and entry, and entry and target, how do you determine [the] new stop?”
So many people struggle because they won’t buy at the signal, but they will buy 30% higher.
Every day I see people buying at the price target, when they should be taking gains.
This goes back to trading the system instead of making it up along the way. If you make it up along the way, you’re asking for trouble.
If you’re struggling, ask yourself these two questions:
- Am I willing to start at the beginning?
- Am I teachable?
If you answered yes to both questions, I encourage you to start here.
My Take
My friend, we live in the greatest time in history. You can trade from your phone while sitting on your couch. Or from your laptop sitting in a coffee shop.
We have done everything possible to make the entire process of learning to trade easier. We’ve created tools and educational materials. We give daily webinars.
Now, if you want direct answers and dedication to passing on knowledge, that’s what I’m here for. But I can’t put in the effort for you, okay?
Watchlist
Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc (NYSE: AHT) spiked after-hours on Tuesday (Oct. 20) when it announced the waiver of $17M in advisory fees, and a share purchase agreement with its advisor, Ashford Inc.
AHT hit the Oracle signal early and rejected at the first sign of resistance. If it keeps consolidating near the Oracle signal, use that level as risk for breaks above $2.70. Target is Oracle major resistance at $3.24.
