Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (CLF) / Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX)
We have been discussing daily the potential for “energy and infrastructure” to be the next hot trend in momentum stocks. While the crazy Dry Bulk Shippers somewhat kind of came out of the blue, they were also predicted by following the trends in low float stocks and watching the active sectors in StocksToTrade. We will be using the same method to try and track and potentialy trade the bigger movers in energy and infrastructure. FCX and CLF could both be potential trades if this move sets up. Then they for sure could fuel other smaller stocks, much like DRYS did with SINO, ESEA et al.
Heat Biologics, Inc. (HTBX)
This stock was located late day Thursday on the low float scan, and we detailed a great trade plan Friday morning. it almost setup perfectly as planned: “11/25/2016 9:31 AM $HTBX $2.00 break with stop on morning LOD $1.87ish”. Goal is a push through $2.50 for a continued move to $3+. Very volatile stock and could reverse quickly have a plan and proper risk management in place.
AK Steel Holding Corporation (AKS)
Another infrastructure type play (steel) with a very solid breakout chart. This is a potential swing trade over multiple days/weeks so I would look to be very patient with entry. A solid goal would be dips to the low $9’s with risk on the previous breakout area of $8.50. Much like FCX and CLF this will depend a lot on the market and whether or not we call the next “hot trend”. But if this catches it could really get moving quickly.
Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. (OCUL)
Wow, this was originally added to this weekly watchlist TWO weeks ago for the week of the 14th. Check out the move since the original breakout that week. Nice base in the $10.50’s, if that holds this could continue another leg higher. But that being said check out the chart and see how far it has come. This is NOT a stock to chase. Make sure you have a solid entry plan and exit plan in place before trading.
China Automotive Systems Inc. (CAAS)
Great breakout on Friday. This was not on our radar simply because it has a little higher float than we have been watching lately. But great power move that we watch for. The plan for early this week will be watching for it to open red on the day then grind back green for continuation. This is a core setup discussed in StocksToTrade Pro almost daily.
